North Simcoe Victim Services (NSVS) is a non-profit, registered charity, which currently only receives funding from the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. NSVS relies heavily on the community when it comes to volunteering and support.
A monetary gift to NSVS means you will be helping victims within your community receive the short and long term support they need such as emergency accommodation, personal security equipment, counselling services, crisis response kits, and other physical needs.
Donations also assist NSVS with training of our Crisis Responders, operational, as well as the services and programs that are offered.

North Simcoe Victim Services – founded by Carol Ivey
In order to create sustainability for the future of North Simcoe Victim Services and in order to maintain the financial health of the organization, NSVS offers options for Planned Giving and endowment for our supportive donors. The endowment fund for our charity was started by a forward-thinking former volunteer and is managed by the CFOA (Community Foundation of Orillia & Area). A portion of these funds can be used annually toward the operational costs of NSVS, and that amount will grow as the fund becomes more established. Your gift will create a lasting legacy for our future.
Carol Ivey became a volunteer for the NSVS in its very first year, after seeing the need for its invaluable service through her husband’s work as a police officer. She initiated this endowment seed funding to ensure the continued success of NSVS after seeing firsthand the benefits of the service.

For a minimum donation of $20 to NSVS you will recieve a branded FOX 40 Whistle for FREE! Great for boating, running, sports, and personal safety. Our trained crisis responders give these whistles to victims of intimate partner violence, assault and crimes like break and enter for their personal safety.
